Spike: 2.5 yr old, black and tan male, neutered, natural tail and ears. 17in. 14 lb. Ladies, if you're looking for tall, dark, handsome, and affectionate then meet Spike. Guys, if you have been looking for the perfect-sized dog who loves to ride shotgun and be outdoors hiking and playing, then meet Spike. Family, if your looking for a companion dog who is already housebroken, crate trained, mannerly and well-behaved, then meet Spike. Spike is a one-in-a-million kinda dog. He loves others, including people, other dogs, and even ferrets. He craves attention and will beg for it, paw for it, and even nudge you with his head for it. He is the first foster I've had that hasn't had a single accident in the house. He will ask to go out to potty or use a doggie door if available. He is also the first dog I've had to sit politely and wait until invited to sit on the couch or get on the bed. Spike is very intelligent and vocal. He will tell you when he's hungry, he will tell you when he would like to be walked, and he will whine to let you know that he wants to play. Honestly, Spike is just wonderful. He is super tall but very lean. His size and weight may make him big for the breed, but it also makes him more kid friendly and family ready. Spikes only issues are his nervousness toward strangers and new situations, and his tendency to bolt and roam if left unattended. He is cautious around new people but warms-up quickly. And like all dogs, he should be on a leash whenever outside a fence and be secured properly when left alone. Spike would make an excellent dog for anyone, and is hoping to find a home with a fenced in yard, alot of love to give, another dog to play with, and a cabinet full of treats wouldn't hurt either. Spike may not have the typical min-pin look but he will pierce your heart with his sweet charm and personality.
